JBS Management Training (SMT) Program
The purpose of JBS’s
Management Training (SMT) Program is to provide Swift
with a group of highly skilled individuals who have long-term
potential for performance, and are able to successfully lead
within JBS’s culture, structures and values. We do
this by recruiting and developing “high potential”
college graduates who possess the intellect, motivation, fundamental
experience and developable skills to become a successful team
leader.

Training programs are tailored to
the needs of each individual, as well as the needs and specifications
of the department for which he or she is hired. In most instances,
an employee in the SMT Program will spend time at our corporate
headquarters, becoming familiar with the different functions
of each department and overall corporate responsibilities,
as well as train in a beef and/or pork facility to understand
the operations and capabilities of our beef and pork processing
facilities located throughout the United States.
