Supplier Diversity

Why we support Supplier Diversity
JBS traces the roots of it's Swift® Brand to a small-business venture started in 1855. Through commitment to quality, innovation and leadership, it has become one of the most successful meat brands not only in the United States, but in the global market place as well. We realize that, as a corporate citizen, JBS has a definite impact on the communities in which we work. From this, we recognize that minority and women-owned businesses are critically important to the future of our economy and business. We strive to establish lasting relationships with a diverse supplier base and open new avenues of opportunity to promote mutually beneficial growth.

Commitment to Supplier Diversity
In 1999, JBS, in support of supplier diversity, created the post of Small Business Liaison Officer. And in conjunction with the JBS Corporate purchasing department, this Liaison Officer continues to build the opportunities and nurture the relationships with our ever-increasingly diverse supplier base. Any program of this nature takes time to develop, but JBS remains committed to the success of our diversity purchasing program.
